What is the latest version of Mac OS X with support for graphics cards with no Metal support

Hello. I tried to install Mojave, but it seems it's not compatible. My graphics card is a Radeon HD 7790, which I was told it's not compatible with Metal. So what version of Mac OS X could I install?

The very best macOS version for that graphics card would probably be El Capitan 10.11.6. You could also try 10.12.6 Sierra and see how that goes. Would be best to use Lilu and Whatevergreen kexts if you were to go with Sierra or High Sierra.
