You Should make a Poll Question so we can see the stats.

Prefer physical buttons from Multi-Touch Gestures.. But definitely thinking in investing in something like LeapMotion (See below).

This is my current setup.

Apple wireless keyboard, Trackpad, and a Logitech Mouse for OSX.
A Logitech USB Keyboard for Windows

I hate trackpads; for some reason I don't get good response from any of them and I have to repeat motions multiple times to get them to obey. And the wireless mice are so heavy that they're uncomfortable - not to mention the hassle of replacing batteries and the glitchy response. Apple's mice have sucked ever since they introduced the "puck" with the G3. So I use a nice wired Logitech contour mouse I paid about $10 for a few years ago. Perfect. If I can find a comfortable Trackman (with the thumb-operated trackball) I may give it a try as well; I had an ADB version a few years ago that I loved.

And don't get me started on keyboards. Apple's wonderful "Saratoga" ADB unit may very well have been the best keyboard ever made for Mac, and everything they've shipped since then is cursed by having zero tactile feedback or zero contour - or both. Unfortunately, using one of their ADB units with a USB adapter causes things like the startup modifier keys to fail, and it's super hard to find a good ADB->USB adapter these days. My compromise is a Unicomp USB keyboard (http://pckeyboard.com/) which will probably outlast all my computers and is perfect for long typing sessions. They'll even send you Mac keycaps for the modifier keys if you ask nicely.

I love almost all things Apple...almost. I have never had a good experience with an Apple mouse product, and ironically I love Microsoft mouses.

Attached to my Hack is:

  • I use the side-left button to open Mission Control, and I use the side-right button to open finder. It's the small things in life...

What I would also love to be attached to my Hack is:

Apple LED Cinema Display (27" flat panel)

  • Oh, how good would life be then!

Currently I have Logitech Desktop Wave Combo which was the last revision to come with OS X LCC. But I do not use the software anymore

Find it works fine without it

Thinking about getting an Apple trackpad at some point and would like a mouse with a trackball too for use in editing and production

Current setup:

For Desktop:

For MacBook Pro: http://www.logitech.com/en-us/mice-poin ... e-mouse-mx
