I've got slight knowledge about making customacs from desktop PCs and have sucessfully done it on the setup in my signature. But now I'm buying a laptop I'm wondering what the main differences are, I can imagine that things like different touchpads, standby / hibernation when you close the monitor, battery power saving hardware are going to be the main differences and issues. Are these the only main differences?

I've got a Novatech Elite Ultimate 2760 arriving tomorrow and am wondering if its even worth trying to install OSX on it or if its a lost cause.

Chipset: Intel® HM65 Express Chipset (linky)
Processor: Intel Core i7-2760QM Processor
Wireless: 802.11B/G/N ?
Graphics : NVIDIA GTX 560M 1.5GB
Memory: 4 X 4GB DDR3 1333Mhz Memory
Hard drive: Seagate Momentus XT 500GB Hybrid SSD SATA Hard Drive

Whats going to be my main issue here people think ?

Should be ok, that CPU has the hd 3000, so if you can't use the other graphics, hopefully those should work.

You need to mostly consider graphics.
