I also did that as well, and it run great, but you should search the forum for wireless adapters, usb and PCI-e

I've seen a few TP-Link adapters for 25 bucks that run as an apple airport extreme.

Not sure what you consider cheap but... I got the TP-Link WDN4800 and it required no more effort on my part than inserting it into the PCI-E slot and selecting my network after boot.

Thanks! Looks like the only safe way is to buy the wireless card and install it in a pci adapter. A cool project!
I noticed you can get the same card but with /n specification. Does it matter which wireless card I buy?(/n or Without). And does it matter what pci adapter card i get?(as long as its 3.3v) i'm running lion on a quad core i7
