Went to Coffee Lake!

Stayed and partied. I should get the parts in a couple days. I wasn't about to buy an old processor... hopefully its not too much trouble to get the hack going. This will be for PC gaming and UX / UI Design which is what I do.
Newegg was having pretty good sales... If I can't get the hack running I will just have 2 rigs until I can so 1 for gaming and one for work. Though space might be an issue.

They are pretty fun to build and way cheaper than buying prefab. If you have any tips please lmk!

Huge Fail... lol Its a pretty gaming machine for now. I swapped the dual 970s into the new machine and reverted to an older 570 Nividia card for my hack. I tried several of the online 8700K hacks to no avail. I just dont have the hack experience. So I will swap back and forth for work and gaming. The new machine is gorgeous. LEDs etc and the chip is very fast. Start up is like 2 seconds.

have you any idea what failed? I saw a few success stories for coffeelake builds and im pretty curious to find out why yours didnt go thru.

Im planning to go for coffeelake with
- GA z370 hd3p
- i5 8400
- GTX 970

still hoping someone would be making a guide with the exact same specs in the near future so i can just follow
