WD Velociraptor hd 600gb not working on Hackintosh computers?
So I finally achieved full system stability with Lion 10.7.3. I only have one big problem. I had this problem before with no success. I thought 10.7.3 would fix it. My 600GB Veloci Raptor Drive does not work properly. How you ask? For ex. If I am moving a file from or within the hard drive, it is supposed to be fast since its 10,000 RPM and 6/GBs a second. The problem is that every 15-30 seconds, the transfer or activity of the hard drive freezes for like 10 secs, then continues.
This is especially annoying when I have clips of things that I shot on that hard drive and I am trying to watch them. It should not be acting like this. Is this a mac problem or a hard drive issue? What can I do to fix this problem. It seems to only happen to my Raptor Drive but when I installed windows on this drive, it worked fine. Let me know what you guys think.
