My Hackintosh running ML 10.8.1 can go to sleep just fine but cannot wake up without the video drivers crashing. Sometimes, the desktop wallpaper gets all garbled upon waking up but mostly the screen returns to what it was before sleep but it does not update if I click on a menu for example. The mouse does track but nothing seems to happen when I click.

The system itself is not frozen but the graphic are frozen. I can still connect via ssh though so the system itself is up.

Here is an example from /var/log/system.log AFTER I wake up from sleep while the screen is frozen:

My BIOS is setup correctly:
- IDE->AHCI and
- HPET to 64

Here is how I setup Multibeast with this motherboard:
- UserDSDT or DSDT-Free Installation
- Drivers & Bootloaders -> Drivers -> Audio -> Realtek ALC8xx -> ALC889a/885
- Drivers & Bootloaders -> Drivers -> Network -> Realtek Gigabit Ethernet 2.06 for 10.7
- Customizations -> Boot Options -> PCI Root ID Fix (Without this App Store didn't work properly!)

I attached the DSDT.aml that I am using and also the full /var/log/system.log

Thank you in advance for any advice!

Thanks for the info.
- Deleted S/L/E/AppleGraphicsPowerManagement.kext
- Extracted the included file to my desktop
- Ran KextBeast
- Rebooted
- Put machine to sleep and waited 30 seconds then woke it up but experienced the same problem :(

After waking up from sleep, here is /var/log/system.log and I also attached the full one after the reset/reboot. Thanks again for anything you can suggest!

I didn't try that option because I don't have the specific cards listed. I can give it a go. I will also try the advice at that link but since it wasn't tested with mountain lion I was afraid to try it. I will report back shortly. Thanks!

Did you refer to the link that gave you? There is something about deleting
AppleTyMCEDriver.kext.
Also please go through Userbuild section and you will find someone with same graphics card.

Have you tried the below option?

OK! I deleted AppleTyMCEDriver.kext per the link and also enabled the option you suggested. After a reboot, there is no change: still comes out of sleep more or less frozen in the graphics. I searched through the user build section for gts450 and found a number of people with this card, but no solution to this specific problem :/

Thanks for the suggestion, Lump. I tried both iMac 12,2 and 12,1 but both gave the same result. Still hangs on waking up.

Hi
Thank's
I don't delete AppleTyMCEDriver.kext .
But I install 10.8.0 open CL in MultiBeast 5.0.2 and set never sleep in system performance and wake up ok in screen saver and it is good for me.
Maybe sleep ok for my GA-Z77X-DU5H and i7 3770K and Giga 450GTS graphic?
