Ok so I've been using the VoodooHDA 0.2.7.3 since I first made this computer. NONE, let me repeat, NONE of the RealTek ALC8xx kexts have ever worked for me. Why, I have no clue? I've had many people on here say, "well install this, delete that, get rid of HDA.kexts, install rollback" and none of it ever works, for who knows what reasons. Other people have reported this working for them on there machines, running the same specs, I don't get why it's not working for me?
My other problem since updating to LION is I have a Presonus FireStudio Project and since the LION update, when I install the driver for the FireStudio I get a KP at start up, I then have to go into Windows and find my LION drive, go into the extensions folder and delete the Firestudio kext for me to be able to boot back into LION (safe mode does not work)
So how can I get my FireStudio working and also not have to use Voodoo, and use the ALC8xx to work.
