I have swapped out my GT240 in my rig to a Quadro NVS 290 which has the same graphics chip as a 8400gs. This is obviously not verry good for gaming. I had to swap out my GT240 as it was giving me a lot of fits with OSX and the DVI port never worked with OSX. I would like to know of a video card that works good with OSX that is still sold but not a Fermi card as they are still having lockup issues. I am looking at GTX260 or something of the sort but would like some opinions on the matter for gaming in OSX in particular World of Warcraft.

Edit: Ok so I have been looking and it looks like it's between the Nvidia GTX 260 or the ATi 5770. The ATI now seems to be much easier to install with the new grachipcsenabler in MultiBeast wich makes the decision harder.

Gtx 285 for work's oob for me...also good for gaming and
best one before the unlucky choice of fermi card in osx hackintosh

im also interested in the same subject as i work as graphic artist, and do a lot of postpro and editing (no games).
my favourite is a no-go yet cause still dont work w macs:
Sapphire Radeon HD 6850 1GB GDDR5
156 € - 207$

so until then, i can´t choose between:

wait w my geforce 7800 GT from my old PowerPC
until i can buy the abovementioned card

or

Radeon HD 5770 - 1 GB GDDR5 - PCI-Express 2.0
96,75 € - 129$
(Radeon HD 5770 - 1,612 points)

or

MSI GeForce N260GTX-T2D896 - 896 Mo GDDR3
91,49 € - 122$
(GeForce GTX 260 - 1,724 points)?
(to be overclocked)
