Hi everyone

I currently have a very old nvidia card and it has served me well for general use, but x-plane 11 really couldn't be played with it. I'd like to buy a new one but would like to keep it reasonable in price, good performance but doesn't have to be the newest or best, and would like to be able to use it without doing too much in terms of software and drivers (I am hoping the driver is already present). I'm on Sierra now, with an i7 2500k, 16gb of ram, and a Gigabyte GA-Z77-DS3H motherboard.

Thanks everyone, appreciate the tips.

Thanks.

Any recommendations? Is it the case that the higher the number the better the card? What is the most popular of those options?

Thanks!

The Game Debate site has an extensive list of cards with lots of details on performance with X-Plane. the GD rating for each card gives a good indication (1 to 10) on overall performance for X-Plane.

Generally speaking, the higher number cards perform better (but there are exceptions).

Basically, you should go with the highest number card that your budget allows.
