Video Card for ZBrush/Digital Sculpting?

I recently enrolled in a course in Digital Sculpting and would like to run ZBrush on my Hackintosh. I am currently using a PNY XLR8 9800 GT EE 1GB video card, but I would like to upgrade to a higher performance video card.

I was hoping that any users with experience in Digital Sculpting/ZBrush could suggest a video card in the $150-$250 range that would be an improvement to my current card. Or do I really need a higher end (and $) video card in order to properly run ZBrush?

Any info would be greatly appreciated!

It is a little more than your upper limit, but you get what you pat for.

or a GTX 580 would be even better but it is way past of your max limit.

My Hackintosh is the same as tonymacx86's original GA-P55M-UD2 build, and I recently did a clean install of Moutain Lion 10.8.2 using the same settings that tonymacx86 recently posted here:

Do you know if I can I just swap out the 9800 GT with the GTX 580, or do I have to run MultiBeast again and install new kexts in order for this card to work?

Run MultiBeast and install the fermi drivers first, then shutdown and swap cards. When you boot it back up it should work with no problems but you know how that goes sometimes!
