I’m a semi-experienced Hackintosh tinkerer, but not very experienced.
I know enough to know that I know nothing.

I got some help from Pilgrim just a few days ago.
Well...I recently had a bad turn on my current Hack adventure.
I was upgrading a z97 Gigabyte - Big Sur machine into my latest plan.

OSX Ventura 13.5
OpenCore 0.9.4
Gigabyte Z490 Aorus Elite AC
Intel Core i9-10850K
XFX Radeon RX580
SMBios: iMac20,2

Unfortunately, I made a few mistakes.
It’s taken me two days to try to formulate my tale and my questions.
So, please bear with me.

It seems that in my upgrade that I didn’t remove the original SSD and included 2 NVME SSDs into the new machine.
Using a USB installer, I installed Ventura OSX on one of the NVMEs and unplugged the original SSD.
(I have since replaced the original SSD with a new unformatted one)
While preparing the computer after the installation, I did something and I was probably moving a little too quickly, because I cannot retrace my steps.

At any rate, afterwards, the NVME will go thru the boot process until the log in screen and the mouse is frozen at the upper left of the screen. No keyboard or mouse activity at all. Dead on the water.

In addition, when I attempt to boot from the USB Installer, I get a repeated...
[AHCI][PRT][00170000] AbortCommands::5381:port 0 - called, deviceWithError 0, errCode = 0xe0030005
then finally, the black screen with white Circle with a Slash through it and the message,
"support.apple.com/mac/startup"

My question(s)...
How should I proceed?
I can't fix the NVME because I can't access it.
I can work with the USB Installer.

Any recommendations?

Thanks in advance.

Thanks.

This is what I found...

A prohibitory symbol, which looks like a circle with a line or slash through it, means that your startup disk contains a Mac operating system, but it's not a version or build of macOS that your Mac can use. follow this step to fix your problem:

1-Press and hold the power button on your Mac for up to 10 seconds, until your Mac turns off.

2-Turn on your Mac press and hold:
shift+ Cmd+option+R to start up from macOS Recovery.

2- ARM M1 User : after power off, start your mac and hold power key to get into recovery mode

3-While in macOS Recovery, .use Disk Utility to repair your startup disk

4-If Disk Utility didn't find any errors or has repaired all errors or reinstall an os.

5-If you still need help, please contact apple new video to try restore data and fix this problem: • support apple mac startup question mark

How do I implement this on a hack?

Thanks again.

The problem more likely lies here : "it's not a version or build of macOS that your Mac can use".

Use an SMBIOS that is supported by the OS version that you are attempting to install,
or use an OS version that supports your chosen SMBIOS.

Sorry, it's taken me so long to get back, but the following info is/was apparently eligible for machine.

OSX Ventura 13.5
OpenCore 0.9.4
Gigabyte Z490 Aorus Elite AC
Intel Core i9-10850K
XFX Radeon RX580
SMBIOS: iMac20,2

How could it be eligible and then, not?
Could a crash cause this?

Thanks in advance.
