I'm currently overclocked to 4.2GHz with the i5-3570K and UD5H. By accident, I left the vcore on auto instead of designating a particular voltage (1.23 previously). Thats when I noticed my cpu voltage and temps (from HWMonitor) were both much lower during idle and during stress tests. Also, now the whole system seems more stable and with fewer . Geekbench stress tests successfully ran for an hour before i shut it off, which has never happened before!! Stress tests usually crashed within 10-20 minutes. Briefly looking through user builds, I couldn't find a single person that left on auto.
So, is ok to leave the vcore on auto?
