Using old parts

Hi

I need to buy almost everything, but want to retain an Intel Core I5 4440 Quad Core 3.1ghz Haswell Skt 1150 that I am not using. I also have a 500gb samsung sd drive and 550W corsair PSU.

Can anyone recommend please what I would need to add so that I can still run the latest OS sierra (my macbook is dying so I will be creating my bootdisk from that) ?

As I do video editing I'd like an nvidia card for premiere, say a 1050.

Please can someone point me the right way towards choosing a motherboard, ram, gpu ?

I think any Z97 motherboard will work with your CPU. RAM choice will be dependent on your motherboard.
