Hi guys,
is there a problem to use more than a 2x8core / 12 core (Xeon E5 v2) on a hackintosh? I am building the following machine:
CPU: E5-2680v2 10x2,8 Ghz (3,5Ghz turbo)
Mainboard: Asus Z9PE-D8 WS dual Socket 2011 (working USB3 in OSX)
Grafics: GTX 770 4GB from Gigabyte
RAM: 32GB DDR3
Harddrive OSX: 256 GB SSD Samsung Evo
Harddrive Work: 512 GB SSD Samsung Evo
Harddrive Raid: 3x 2TB WD HDD for Raid-0
Power Supply: Seasonic 750W semi passive
Timemachine Backup: 3TB USB 3 HDD Seagate for Timenachine Backup
Bluray / DVD burner: LG
Case: Macpro 2.1 Original modded
First i will only use one cpu with 10 cores. If i need more power i want to buy another E5-2680v2... but then i got 20 cores...
What do you know about a limitation of cores... would be great if you can help me out...
Kindly
