There is a a similar question here but I appear to be having a different problem. My USB2.0 devices don't appear to show up at all when I use any (front and back) of the USB3.0 ports. However, if I attached the included 3.0 to 2.0 adapter, they work. I checked the BIOS and USB3.0 was enabled. I thought they were backwards compatible? Or does backwards compatibility mean 3.0 devices work on 2.0 ports rather than 2.0 devices being able to work on 3.0 ports? Here are the pictures of my motherboard.

Just USB3.0

did you install the drivers? the USB3.0 pre-Ivybridge is junk and should be avoided when using USB2.0 devices. without drivers the ports will not work at all unlike the Ivybridge ones.

Where do I get those? I didn't see them in Multibeast.

I got the same problem, do you have found a solution?

After 2 years I still cannot figure out how to activate usb 3.0 ........

I also have never gotten USB 3 to work. Whenever I enable R_USB30 Controller in BIOS, my computer hangs on the apple loading screen. If I disable R_USB3 Controller in BIOS, my computer boots fine..

Anyone know of a solution?

Currently running Sierra.
