Hello. I have been running a Hackintosh built - not by me - in about November 2011.
It is running 10.8.2 Mountain Lion.
It was built with this site's tools (Unibeast).
I've avoided updating the OS, not wanting to break the system, and performance has gotten slower over time as programs like Firefox update.
Today I have been having issues with the internet not working, on this computer only, or working suspiciously slowly. Right now it's not working at all.
Running Disk Utility shows an "Invalid volume free block count - The volume Mac was found corrupt and needs to be repaired using the Recovery HD."
I don't have a bootable disk that could run Disk Utility on this. To create one with UniBeast seems to require an OSX installer, which I don't have either.
The internet was working earlier, I think because I ran Repair Disk Permissions. The permissions keep differing on the JavaAppletPlugin, and user/bin/tar. Every time I restart it seems to reset wrong.
