I've had this desktop running nicely for some time (Yosemite/El Cap/Sierra) and use it mainly for Pro Tools (HD 12.7.1)
it started developing a habit of 'dropping' my audio hardware (Firewire Digi 002R on FW Card) so i replaced with a USB Interface (Focusrite 18i20) and now its doing the same thing. Its behaving like the hardware is being switched on and off (of course Pro Tools has to restart twice to get it back on again!
The error says 'the audio hardware has been reset by another application......' and i get AAE error -6101
This happens whilst using both Pro Tools Aggregate and Native 18i20 drivers in Audio/Midi Setup and happens at random with no user input (i.e. key presses etc.)
So obviously it could be a OS vs Pro Tools relationship or.........I'm using a hackintosh!
How can i verify my USB functionality and how does it tie in with similar behaviour on Firewire Card
Can anyone help or suggest anything?
