USB 3 just stopped working

I have a Gigabyte GA-Z68XP-UD3 that has been going strong as a hack for over a year. Out of the blue this weekend all the USB 3.0 ports just stopped working on it. In the System Report it was not showing any USB 3.0 devices, so I reloaded the USB 3.0 drivers from the newest version of Multibeast. Now it shows the USB 3 busses but will not recognize any USB 2 or 3 device plugged in. I have tried all the ports. Any idea what I can do? Is there a way to dump the USB 3 kexts and try to reload the drivers.

Never mind on this, I failed to follow the golden rule of searching before posting. I found my answer, and the fix for 10.8.5 and USB 3.0. All is good!
