USB 3.0 and USB Midi Controllers

Quick FYI....

Just plugged my m-audio midi keyboard into one of my USB 3.0 ports and everything seems to work smoothly. Reason and logic no problems.

I did the same thing - BUT if I plug the PH Ignition key into a 3.0 port, it gets power, but connection is a no go (Z68 MX UD2h) even with the 3rd party usb3.0 kext - oh well. Powered hubs to the rescue! (not to mention that gigabyte mobos provide 3x power, so putting a small 4 port hub on one gets full power to normal devices... keep that in mind too!)
