Hi.
As I just recently sold my iMac 27" MID 2011 and miss it, I thought I could make use of my old PC as a hackintosh by just replacing some parts with new ones.

Could anyone be so kind of helping me out?
I'm figuering I need:
A new bluetooth-dongle/ or wifi-card with bluetooth.
A new GPU

Right now I don't have the funds to buy a whole new computer. So I'm planning on keeping the motherboard, cpu and memory. =) The gpu however, has to be replaced since it doesn't support 4k@60hz.

My old PC:
i5 2500K
Asus P8P67 EVO
8GB DDR3 (2GBx4)
Fractal Design XL
MSI Radeon HD6970 2GB (not capable of doing 60hz in 4k.. just 30hz)
HDD1: Intel 160GB SATA SSD
HDD2: Western Digital 2TB SATA
Apple Magic Keyboard
Apple Magic Mouse
Apple Magic Trackpad

Monitor: Philips BDM4065UC. 40" 4K monitor connected with displayport (1.2) from gpu.

I don't do any gaming. Just productivity, watching movies etc.

It’s not the only one with DP - there is also a sister model with a fan and only single slot width.

What I was trying to say is that MSI is the only brand that makes 1030s with DP.

I see. That is true as far as I know. But it is strange, since enabling older pc with higher resolution output is a very fine use case for such a low power card.
