Updating to Lion

Just a quick question; I was reading through the page on updating SL to Lion, and in step 4, #5 mentions using DSDT. When I installed SL, I didn't use a DSDT, there isn't one for my motherboard (it's quite old). Is it possible for me to upgrade to Lion without having a DSDT? Thanks!

Hackintosh is not necessarily hardware dependent. As long as you have an AHCI programming option and are able to boot from different devices and are already running osx then you should be able to do so without any issues.
