I've just installed 10.7 using EasyBeast and Universal VooDoo audio. What steps do you all recommend I take to prepare to run the Combo Updater?

I've done a bit of research and it seems that many people are removing the VooDooHDA files beforehand. Is this all I need to do to avoid trouble?

On an intel board, who knows? VoodooHDA seems to need removal and new one installed every update just like sleepenabler did in 10.6.x.
Seriously, back up, clone and clone first. You can never have too many backups.
Then update.

How do you uninstall voodooHda? Is it as simple as deleting the .kext files in /system/library/extensions?

DddDirtman,

I'm not certain what you mean by: "then system utils(in multi beast)".
What do I do with System utilities? Reapply them?

Has anyone using an Intel motherboard successfully updated to LION 10.7.2?

From what I've read, it looks as if one must first delete VoodooHDA.kexts. What about repairing permissions in disk utility?
