Updating DAW

Still running ML on my Ivy build and looking to update the OS.

Running: Reaper, Logic, Abelton, Kontakt, Omnisphere, BIAS, waves, blue tubes, east/west, Superior Drummer, etc.

Is anyone out there using Mavericks or Yosemite on an older machine like mine. If so, have you encountered issues?

Hey,
i have a pretty similar Setup on my DAW, im using the GA-Z68MX-UD2H-B3.
The build is running Yosemite rocksolid with Clover. It has been a while, but as far as i recall, i did´t run into any issues updating. Did a fresh install, though. It took a little while until i got my head around SSDTs, but its not rocket science.
From what i´ve been reading updating from Yosemite to El Capitan on clover should be straight forward as well. I would wait however since 10.11 seems to be struggeling with some VST/AU Plug-ins.

Yeah, I've been reading about major issues for DAW users switching to el capitan. So i was definitely gonna try Yosemite first and see what happens. My only issue with MAC (unlike PC) is their lack of support on legacy software and devices.

Did you run uefi bios on yours?
