Update on Acer Inspire E15 Hackintosh Project

I started a hacking thread for an Acer Aspire e15 here.
The last issue I was trying to deal with was getting the audio going but haven't looked at it until yesterday (it's been sat in my workshop).
The thread is now locked meaning I cannot add to it, unless an admin can unlock it?

So I checked out the FAQ and followed the Q 'Audio is not working. How to fix?

Using the info on installing 3rd part kexts here, I downloaded and installed 'Hackintool' and installed acidanthera's AppleALC kexts.

It seemed to install fine, but after re-booting I still have no audio input or output devices

Any help with this would be great.

as you read the FAQ, assumed you knew what problem reporting files to upload....

You should never assume anything, when someone says they have read something, they may (like me) have only read the parts that they thought they would need



Anyway I am currently typing on the machine in question and have used Clover Configurator to mount the EFI on the recovery partition?

It contained EFI.old and EFI. The EFI zip folder is attached.

can't see AppleALC or lilu kext in clover/kexts/other?

Yes, after reading more into the 'No Audio' section of the Laptop guide, I followed some steps to add Lili and AppleALC and they now appear in clover/kexts/other when I mount and view the EFI.

I followed the 'Idiots Guide to Lilu and it's Plugins'.
Once I confirmed that Lilu and AppleALC where showing in clover/kexts/other, I then tried to follow the procedure for getting them to work.
I tried Method 1 and Method 2, neither worked (e.g. no audio after restarting).
I then followed the Installing 3rd Party Kets guide using the Hackingtool method. I removed Lilu, Apple ALC and AppleALCU from clover/kext/other and using Hackingtool installed them in Library/Extensions. This did not work but then realised I wasn't saving the updates made in clover system parameters such as Detect Kexts to the config.plist in EFI. I did this but on restart still no audio
