Update from Big sur to Monterey=log out right after login

Hi. I copied my EFI to a USB stick and updated opencore etc.
Then I updated macos from big sur to monterey.
Now when I log in to monterey, I am begin locked out stragith away again. The first time I logged in, it said that there was a problem with my apple id and asked me to type my password, but I never got to type it before I was logged out again.
If I log back in again this just happens again in an endless loop.

What can I do?

Boot to the recovery partition and reinstall the OS (without formatting the drive).

Wasn't that what I just did or am I missing somethign ?

I installed it on top of the existing OS (big sur). Chose the disk called "MacOS" (not MacOS - Data).

Done. Still the same. I honestly didn't expect it to fix anything. Any other suggestions? I could do a clean install, but would like not to.
