Hey there, I want my hackintosh to boot up like a normal mac. That means I need to upgrade the Bios to UEFI, which should get rid of the text-booting whatchamacallits, where it goes through what is connected and so forth. I would also like to change the Bios logo screen, but Face wizard isn't working on my Virtual Machine.
I've got a Z68XP-UD3 Gigabyte Mobo.

Assuming your board is rev 1.3, go to this page, download the UEFI, and install it from windows. Make sure to delete (and back up) your DSDT before installing.

You can use TheLostSwede's helpful guide during the upgrade.

Sadly, I did not. I ended up taking a spare hard drive and installed a trial version of windows 7. Facewizard worked perfectly after that.

Thanks L33t. I'm gonna do the same thing, getting a new drive soon so will pop Windows on that.

You did this on a UD3? I have a UD5 with UEFI, think it will work okay?

Also, does the customised image fill the screen? And does that degrade the quality significantly, I assume?
