I'm trying to prevent SL from mounting all NTFS drives on startup. It was easy to do that for the Windows 7 system partition which has an UUID, and I just used the /etc/fstab method.

But I have an NTFS data partition (/Volumes/User HD 1) that doesn't have a UUID. I tried using "LABEL=User\040HD\0401" method but that didn't work. Anyone have a better suggestion?

In the com.Apple.boot.plist try adding something such as

<key>Hide Partition</key>
<string>hd(1,1) hd(2,2) hd(3,1)</string>

using the appropriate hd numbers, you can find them by going to Disk Utilities info button.
