Unknown Cpu

Hi

About this mac displays my cpu speed correctly but processor is unknown (refer to pic)

Is there anything that I can do to rectify it?
I believe this is purely cosmetic but I would still like it displayed correctly.

I've recently did a fresh OS Lion install (10.7.2) on the same hardware config and upon first reboot, About This Mac was able to identify my cpu as "3.6GHz Intel Xeon 6-Core". However, after updating to 10.7.4 and installing Multibeast 4.7, it is back to "3.6GHz unknown"

Should have copied the smbios.plist before updating, damn!

Any ideas?

After some digging in the forums, I've finally found the solution!

-Do a backup of your smbios.plist file in case things go wrong.

-Add the following string to the smbios.plist:
<key>SMcputype</key>
<string>1281</string>

Save the file and reboot!
