Trying to install Monterey from my USB Flash Drive. All goes well until I press "Continue" in the Install MacOS Monterey.app. Nothing happens. I started looking at many files on the EFI partition, and also on my computer, a direct download of OpenCore 0.8.6 Release, and elsewhere. I seems that almost all my UNIX executable files are now showing as TextEdit files. I ran Cocktail, Onyx, and Kext Utility, but nothing has changed. I have not been able to find out what has happened or any way to change all those files back to UNIX executables. The icons on some show as one, and some show as the other, but they all say "open with TextEdit.

What the heck is going on?
