Hi I have just tried to hackintosh an Alienware M17x R4 (Ivy). I had made a USB drive with UniBeast and modified the kernel with BridgeHelper 4.0.1. I tried to boot into the installer but got stuck at a screen with a no symbol over the apple :banghead: . I tried to boot with the flags "-v GraphicsEnabler=No PCIRootUID=0 npci=0x2000". It got stuck at

From path: “uuid”, Waiting on <dict ID=”0”><key>IOProviderClass</key><string ID=”1”>IOResources</string><key>IOResourceMatch</key><string ID=”2”>boot-uuid-media</string></dict>
Still waiting for root device

My specs are,
3rd Generation Intel® Core™ i7-3720QM (6MB Cache, up to 3.6GHz w/ Turbo Boost 2.0)
32GB Dual Channel DDR3 at 1600MHz
750GB 7200RPM SATA 3Gb/s
17.3-inch WideFHD 1920 x 1080 120Hz NVIDIA 3D Vision Bundle
Intel Centrino 2230 Wireless-N
Internal High-Definition 5.1 Surround Sound Audio
NVidia GeForce GTX 660M
4 x USB 3.0 ports (could be the problem)

Any help would be appreciated :) .

boot with "just" the verbose flag, if it goes kernel panic, post the picture here.

It's not my post but i have almost the same machine and want to install OS X on it.

My Specs are :

Intel® Core™ i7-3610QM (6MB Cache, up to 3.3GHz w/ Turbo Boost 2.0) => Ivy Bridge
6 GB DDR3 SDRAM 1 600 MHz
256GB SSD SAMSUNG Serie 830 SATA3 6Gb/s
17.3" 120Hz w/ 3D Bundle WideFHD (1920 x 1080) WLED LCD
NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 675M with 2GB GDDR5 memory
Creative Sound Blaster Recon3Di with THX TruStudio Pro Software
Intel® Centrino® Wireless-N 2230 with Bluetooth 4.0

I've create mountain lion (because of ivy bridge support) usb install drive with a vmware lion virtual machine using App Store 10.8 and unibeast.

But when i boot on it i have the "still waiting for root device" message (I have and A05 unlocked bios with AHCI in place of RAID). I add 3 pictures, one of the error and two of the AHCI in bios.

@ leerleer : I think the combo esata/usb port is an usb2 port and not usb3 but when i boot on it the problem is the same.

Any idea please ?
