Unibeast Installation Failed ?

Has anyone seen this before ?

My first download of ML from Apple was corrupt and also gave errors when running Unibeast.
I only worked this out when I couldn't manually open the InstallESD.dmg file from the command line due to checksum errors.
Might be worth a shot at making sure your download is not corrupt before trying anything else.

Try running the following and see if the dmg file mounts.

# open /Applications/Install\ OS\ X\ Mountain\ Lion.app/Contents/SharedSupport/InstallESD.dmg

This can happen and is not serious.

The next step is to run MultiBeast and install Chimera (if not already present). Then reboot. If it boots, all is well. :wink:


I've had the same message with Lion following my first install and all still ran okay (up to this day). It just happens, because you are not running a real mac. That is but all.

What do you mean ? I cannot create Unibeast USB installation. How is this related to installing chimera on my Lion ?

I have re downloaded the install app and same result... any other ideas ?

This happened with me, so I installed this: http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1512 it's legit and from apple and I got this from a Unibeast trouble shooting age
