You need your purchased Install OS X Mountain Lion.app in the Applications folder before you can install is the error I get over and over.

I have tried over and over, downloaded the installer 3 times from the app store. This is on a 2012 Mac Mini. I am using Unibeast 1.7 and I get this error every time, "You need your purchased Install OS X Mountain Lion.app in the Applications folder before you can install". The install file is in the applications folder. This has never happened in the past? Is it okay to use OSX 10.8.3 install file? That is what I get when I download my purchase from the app store.

This is what the install log looks like:

You do not - repeat DO NOT - need UniBeast with a real Mac. Download the app from the app store. Run the Install Mac OS Mountain Lion.app in the app folder by double clicking on it. Follow the prompts.

where is the applications folder? i dont even see the install app thingy. when i go to mac app store to get it it says to pay 19.99 to install and i've already paid once while installing it on the macbook. im a bit confused. any help would be appreciated.

There are a number of ways you can find the app store. There is LaunchPad in the dock and then click on App store.

If you type in your Apple ID and password, the app store will remember your purchases. You can download upgrades from there or in updates. After you have installed your operating system, then you will have a list of files.
