I'm having the same problem and I'm not sure exactly where the solution is to be found on the page that you link to.

I'm running Lion 10.7.4 and don't have any options to change any application security settings:

And if you're referring to the Apple Software Installer Update, Apple suggests that this update is for 10.6.8. Should I install this update on a 10.7.4 system? If this is the case then perhaps the Troubleshooting page should be more clear about whether this applies to 10.7 as well as 10.6.8.

If it is not one of these two then I would ask you to clarify where on the page the solution can be found because I certainly can't find it.
