Hi guys,

My hackintosh has been running fine on 10.9.2, but while debugging an ethernet issue by installing an e1000 kext using kextbeast, an old kext I forgot I had on the desktop got installed too (AppleACPIPlatform).
It may or may not be related, but after rebooting I get a kernel panic and text saying "Unable to find driver for this platform ACPI".
Booting with -x boots fine (but slow graphics etc).
I tried running Multibeast to reinstall the kext but not sure if this is the right course of action, or if I am doing it right.
I have a Gigabyte GA-Z77X-UP5 TH motherboard.
Any help would be appreciated :)

Cheers!

In Finder navigate to /System/Library/Extensions and move the AppleACPIPlatform kext that you installed to the Trash.

Then, in Terminal :
Code:
sudo touch /System/Library/Extensions

Restart

Good Luck

Thanks for the reply :)
Just gave it a shot, didn't work, same error :(

Fixed it by turning off Intel Virtualization Tech (odd, as it has been on for years and working fine).
Did the APCI rollback in Multibeast too which may have helped.

Cheers :)
