Hi there,

I was recently having trouble launching Pro Tools 9 and I read that Mac pro 3.1 was not supported. So I followed the instructions on this thread to change the smbios.plist file. However now my system doesn't start. It may not be this, I could have changed something else by mistake. So did me changing this file cause this problem? And if so, how can I change it back if I can't get started?! Here are two pictures below of what happens, the errors etc. One from booting normal and one verbose if they help. If specs are needed I can open the case up and have a look! Apologies for the bad camera and shot as well!

Thanks for in advance,
Tom.

reboot with iboot disc and re edit plist back to 3,1 and see if it boots

Thanks for the reply, before I saw your post booted in safe mode and changed, forgot about that way!

Now I'm curious as to why it won't change, is there any way I change to 4.1 again without crashing?
