I'm having this weird symptom where my newly hackintoshed U310 won't display anything unless it's plugged into a monitor via HDMI. I'm not very good at this kind of stuff, so if I need to patch my DSDT, I'm going to need a little more explanation. Files attached would be best!

Specs:
Intel i3 ivy bridge i3-3317u
HD4000 Graphics
Mountain Lion 10.8

...Everything works perfect, except the screen!

My problem is alot like the one described here:

Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Thanks for the help. I was able to solve the problem with applying a bunch of kext in kexteditor.

My problem now is that I tried to apply the rehabman voodoo 3 finger swipe kext and now I'm experiencing a kernel panic.

I have attached the verbose screen and the standard panic screen in jpg's below.

Thanks!

It does not appear that you followed the instructions for installing. Please read the README carefully: https://github.com/RehabMan/OS-X-Voodoo-PS2-Controller

It's most likely that I did not follow the instructions, but I don't know what I did wrong. I believe the problem came about when I deleted the first two kexts. Is there any way to reinstall them without wiping the system?

The KP shows both old and new drivers in the backtrace. So, you didn't remove the old drivers (ApplePS2Controller/AppleACPIPS2Nub) before installing my version.

Sure... remove the other drivers per the instructions, repair permissions & rebuild cache.

How do I do this and how long does it take? I'm not very experienced in this.

If you can boot in safe mode (-x), do that. You will probably need a USB keyboard/mouse...

If not, then you'll have to fix from the OS X installer in Terminal.

Otherwise it is fresh install time... Which is probably not a bad idea given "applying a bunch of kext in kexteditor" ?? Yikes, especially given that the kexts for HD4000 included with OS X work perfectly for the U310.
