Hey!

I have managed to get to DSMOS on HP Z840.
Looks like all is working and booting but I belive it stops at "Missing bluetooth" and then DSMOS crashes.

What I have figured out is that by using Autodesks BIOS Settings, I manage to get full control over the HP Z840 BIOS.
I attached HpSetup, which you can add on a USB thumb drive and load into HP Z840 Bios settings.

Any Ideas to workaround DSMOS ?

It's a problem with graphics, not bluetooth. What version of OS X are you installing ? What boot flags are you using ? Do you have any other graphics card you could try other than the K4000 ?

It is nothing to do with DSMOS.

Disable the Serial port(s) in your BIOS settings.

@trs96 Hey,

I followed @metacollin ´s ideas in the C162 thread, as it is the same motherboard.
http://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/t...the-machine-apple-never-gave-us.155542/page-4

So basically it´s the same boot settings as, clover config default´s but with FakeLPC enabled, and the IOPCIFamely hack for Haswell-E with kernel patches and add ons.

The GPU Cards I have tried is an older Apple ATI Card ( built for MacPro 2012 model ) and the Quadro K4000 , and the M4000 and the M6000, the big difference, is when using the official cards, then it states the official part, but still i get the DSMOS error.

@P1LGRIM
Awsome , ill try to do that first thing, I belive I must do this in the txt config file.
for the BIOS of the HP Z840 is locked down on some points.

Ill upload the bios settings file back here if it works.

@P1LGRIM

Did now disable the serial port, but it still detects it as it´s there..
maybe it´s the HP Z840 Bios settings that hides a Serial port.

Im going to investigate the HP settings further

Do you fix GPU Issue?
Using patched DSDT or Boot flags?
How about adding cpus=31 in boot flags?
