Trouble with install- Never get to Chimera boot screen

i'm trying to upgrade from 10.6.8 and I have set up my USB drive, run Unibeast, but when i reboot, F12, and select the USB-HDD it doesn't ever pop up and instead attempts to launch into my Snow Leopard.

I can't find anything with a similar issue in the search and I don't know what exactly the problem is.

How can i fix this to boot to a screen where I can choose USB??

When you hit F12, under Hard Drive + do you see your USB brand name there?

If not you did not create Unibeast correctly or your flash stick does not work w. Unibeast and you need a different 8GB flash stick.

i have been tinkering with things for a few hours since the post, and located a very old flash drive to see if it was my brand new flash drive that was the problem...and it was.

the old drive booted up that screen and i have Lion running great so far!
