I am running LION on an SSD and would like to know if I need to re-apply the TRIM enabler in MultiBeast after updating the OS to 10.7.3.

I had applied it when I first installed LION, so it was already enabled, but how do I know it's working?

I think I had to reapply it.

You can tell if its enabled by going to system profiler, looking at your sata controllers and selecting the SSD. It should give you an Yes/No indication if trim is enabled. (I think it specially says "Trim Enabled: Yes" if it is enabled)

I re-enabled TRIM after 10.7.3 update, but when checking System Profiler, I'm told that TRIM Support = NO. See excerpt below:

Medium Type: Solid State
TRIM Support: No
Partition Map Type: GPT (GUID Partition Table)
S.M.A.R.T. status: Verified

So what to do now? How do I get TRIM enabled?

UPDATE: I forgot to restart. After reboot, TRIM Support = Yes.

Medium Type: Solid State
TRIM Support: Yes
