I 've
SATA 1: SSHD 1T with windows preinstalled
SATA 2: ODD
SATA 3: SSD 250 GB EMPTY UNFORMATTED

Haswell i5 4570T on Asus Z87i-PRO

Thinkjng about this in order to install Mavericks:

1) sconnect SSHD with win 8.1
2) connect on SATA 1 SSD empty
3) do The tonymac last installation guide for mavericks on SSD
4) run multibeast installing its bootloader on SSD
5) re connect SSHD win 8.1 but on SATA 3

Someone thinking i 'd do the job ?

TY in advance

:thumbup:1) disconnect SSHD with win 8.1
:thumbup:2) connect on SATA 1 SSD empty
:thumbup:3) do The tonymac last installation guide for mavericks on SSD
????4) run multibeast installing its bootloader on SSD
:thumbdown:5) re connect SSHD win 8.1 but on SATA 3

When completed install of OS X, connect Win8.1 back to SATA 1 port. Connect ODD to highest numbered SATA II port driven from Z87 chip, connect SSD for OS X to SATA 2 port.

Whether you run MultiBeast to install Chimera boot loader depends on method of install of Win8.1. Is it installed Legacy (System Reserved + NTFS or NTFS only) or is it installed UEFI (EFI + Recovery partition + MSR + NTFS). If installed UEFI, use Clove instead of Chimera.

First attempt failed - no boot from hard disk (with Chimera)
Now i try so:
1) WIN8.1 SATA 1 - SSD on SATA2
2) Installing Mavericks on SSD SATA2
3) running multibeast without installing BOOT LOADER?
3) Installing CLOVE? (but i dont know this piece of software now i'm reading something)
well that is?
I'm wrong?

NO WAY
I ve INSTALLED CLOVER
But my SSD had already a GUID partition
CLOVER creates a UEFI loader
But if a select it no way to start

I installed CLOVER on SSD GUID!! Impossible!!

i think to do so:
1) sconnect SSHD WINDOWS (UEFI INSTALLED!!)
2) INSTALLING MAVERICKS on SSD formatted GUID OSX JOURNALED
3) RECONNECT SSHD on SATA 1
4) ENTER WINDOWS 8.1 OS and from there running CLOVER in order to INSTALL it on SSHD MBR?

i haven t do that yet...
But i can't understand why even with the only SSD connected i a
wasn't be able to boot mavericks.
Without having WINDOWS SSHD CONNECTED!!
ONLY IF I PUT USB KEY I MIGHT ENTER OSX
boh
i can't understand

Is Win8 installed UEFI?
If yes, Chimera can Boot OS X, but will not see the boot partition of Win8. Have to use the function hotkey to allow you to select boot device at boot to decide on boot Win8 or OS X. Or install Clover on OS X and make OS X drive first in HDD boot order in BIOS.
If no, Chimera can see System Reserved partition in Win8 and you can select and boot from Chimera screen. Make OS X SSD first in HDD boot order in BIOS.

Uefi

i try again with clover with a clean mavericks installl

last try i installed clover after installed chimera!!

NO WAY installed CLOVER as from this 3d http://www.tonymacx86.com/attachmen...hon-z87-screen-shot-2013-10-25-6.25.21-pm.png

But when rebooting after bootloader installation appears:

THE SYSTEM FOUND UNAUTHORAIZED CHANGES on THE FIRMWARE, OPERATING SYSTEM OR UEFI DRIVERS.
PRESS [N] TO RUN THE NEXT BOOT DEVICE , or ENTER DIRECTLY TO BIOS SETUP IF THERE ARE NO OTHER BOOT DEVICES INSTALLED.
GO TO BIOS SETUP- ADVANCED-BOOT and CHANGE THE CURRENT BOOT DEVICE INTO OTHER SECURED BOOT DEVICES.

You have a TPM chip installed or Trusted Platform enabled in BIOS? Did you install Clover on the Windows drive?
