Hey!
I'm in need of a computer I can take as a carry on in an airplane and transport to various gigs to use instead of a laptop. I didn't build any kind of computer for years by now, so I'm in big need of advice.
I will run VJing software like resolume Avenue for mixing and editing video live, software like processing and open frameworks to generate visuals live and other more common video and graphic editing software. Since my budget is low I'm looking to save money without losing too much of future compatibility, s if there is some options to save big chunks of money without actually losing too much of power or future compatibility, I'd be very thankful for advice in that way.
Also, I'm not sure which coolers I need and or should buy especially to fit the case and if the power supply is a good fit!
Thanks in advance for any help!

CASE - Silverstone Sugo SG05 (max GPU length 25,4 cm)

MAINBOARD - Gigabyte GA-Z170N-WIFI

CPU - Intel Core i5 6600K

GPU - EVGA GTX 950

RAM - 2x 8GB Crucial Ballistix Sport LT DDR4-2400

POWER SUPPLY - Corsair CS 550 Watt

I believe that you'll need an SFX PSU to fit inside that small mini-ITX case. Check the
Siverstone website's documentation for that model. If you are not an overclocker you
can save money by getting the H170N-WIFI and an I5-6500. Then you also won't
need an expensive air or liquid cooler for the CPU. Newegg has the Arctic Freezer 11 LP
which can handle an I5-6500 quite easily. Only costs about 17 USD at Newegg.

Silverstone also makes SFX PSUs that will fit perfectly in that case. Newegg sells these
as well. http://www.silverstonetek.com/product.php?pid=253&area=en

Thanks a lot for the replies!
I'll check out the mini stx motherboards! Smaller size is definitely a big plus! Problems with sleep sounds ok - what are graphic glitches tho? Since I'll be using it to output video live a lot, I need to be on the safe side there.
Since the software I'll be using will be intensive on the CPU (at least I think?), how would you compare the savings to the power downgrade? Maybe it is better to not go too low budget in this case and have some processing reserves? Im based in Japan so I need to compare prices here, which is slightly different.
Thanks again!

You are Welcome!!!

1 - use El Capitan then you won't have any problems with graphic glitches
2 - Price of Mini-STX must be lower than NUC because all the components are standardized and are available in computer malls
3 - Performance of Mini-STX is also higher. I use i7-6700, 16GB RAM, NVMe SSD is my next upgrade in this week.
4 - Power consumption - i7-6700, 16GB RAM uses less than 120W of power

My Mini-STX build -
ASRock DeskMini 110W
Intel i7-6700
DDR4 SO-DIMM 8GBx2
DGM SSD S3-240A
Dell DW1560 replaces Intel AC3160
Acbel ADC027 19V 120W

Ohh so I just figured out that by HD 530, you mean an intergrated graphics chip. I plan on dabbling with 3D and occasionally play a game on windows, also not sure which of the applications I'm using and will be using in the future utilize the graphics card. The size of the mini ATX is definitely small enough for me, and it doesn't seem like the STX can fit one? I think I'd rather just stick with the little bigger system then.
I'll try to compare the 6500 and the 6600K CPU and see if it's worth the saving, thanks though :)
