Hi, everyone.

I can't get my laptop trackpad to work. I think that knowing the trackpad's maker is a first step for a workaround.

So, is there a way to know what is the trackpad's maker on my laptop? It's an HP Pavilion (the one in my profile) and I found almost no technical information about it.

Don't know if it's worth, but the attached ioreg was generated with your VoodooPS2Controller kext loaded. At that time, there was no trackpad recognized by the system, only mouse and keyboard.

HP mention this as a multitouch trackpad. Actually, it partially works (no multitouch) with ApplePS2SmartTouchPad kext from EMlyDinEsh page on http://forum.osxlatitude.com/index....and-synaptics-smart-touchpad-driver-mac-os-x/ .

Downloaded some VoodooPS2.kext files around, tried one by one but didn't succeed... little frustrating. For now, I'm following Dr. Hurt's development of its project at http://forum.osxlatitude.com/index.php?/topic/8285-refined-alps-touchpad-driver/?view=getnewpost.
