do i need to install extra kext for airdrop to work? thanks

I'm having the same issue here on the same hardware. My finder window also displays airdrop the same as in your attachment. Were you able to find a solution? For me, bluetooth and wireless are working perfectly but I can't find or be discovered on airdrop.

@copperfront, please update your profile (personal details) with your Motherboard, CPU and iGPU or Graphics Card.
If you have a prebuilt computer enter make and model instead of motherboard (Mobo).

Profiles need to contain at least your primary system to assist others with helping you.
