I have no link, but when I searched for flash/sound/problem/disappearing in this forum I found many different threads about this.
...
Hmm. That's interesting. I hoped it would be just a hackintosh problem so a new kext in some maybe not so distant future would fix this.

I also need to report that even though the sound disappeared once since I activated the default adobe flash plugin in chrome, it hasn't disappeared a second time, yet.
So I encourage everybody having similar problems with chrome+flash to try it too... (disabling integrated chrome flash and enabling a downloaded adobe flash following these instructions: http://helpx.adobe.com/en/flash-player/kb/enable-system-flash-player-google-chrome.html)

I'm not sure I've had the precise issues you've had - like I said I find consistently issues with flash, usually not worth tracking down. At any rate, definitely worth trying googling the web and not just here. This is an example of one thing I found:

http://www.imore.com/losing-audio-os-x-mavericks-heres-what-you-can-do-about-it

So for example could be a core audio issue, and not specific to hackintosh.

Sound just disappeared for me again, but I'm not sure if it didn't happen because of unplugging my headphones while the monitor was off (maybe even standby, not sure).

Thanks for the link. So this really seems to be unrelated to hackintosh. Good to know. and sad. I hope then enough people have this problem, so maybe at some point some apple empoloyee will bother tracking this down or some google chrome guys maybe.

About core audio, tried killing every coreaudio process I could find but for me this didn't help. Going into standby for even just 2-3 seconds always restarts audio on the other hand.

Hope it helps. And of course, I don't know for sure, it just seems in this case at least as likely that it's not a hackintosh issue as the reverse - to me, it seems more likely it's not specific to hackintosh.

But I'm just deducing....

I had a first GA-Z87MX-D3H that worked for approx. 10 hours then didn't power up anymore (no led, no fan, no nothing).
Got a new one.

Now yesterday I wanted to show a friend how fast the system boots. Did a shutdown (normally I only go into Standby). Waited (talked a while) and hit the power button. Everything went on (all available fans and leds) but no visual Gigabyte boot logo, no visual chameleon boot, no visual osx boot. I powered down. Hit power again and everything booted normally.

Today I tried the same, and again no visual anything :(
So now I tried hitting reboot and this time I got the Gigabyte logo, then Chameleon but then a frozen OSX boot... ?!?!

I don't remember exactly what I did then, if I hit reboot again or did a power off/on but now I'm up and running again.

So I'm wondering if it is a Gigabyte problem again... so I'd like to ask in advance...
If this happens non stop now or if the mainboard dies completely, which alternative would you suggest (ATX). And maybe something else than Gigabyte because in the shop where I returned the first GA-Z87MX-D3H they told me that Gigabyte has a lot of problems lately and that they have non stop customers returning defect Gigabyte mainboards.
They suggested ASUS. But because of this line in the buyers guide I'm scared. Oh and also the user builds that I've seen here use quite expensive ASUS mainboards (and I used up my budget :( ).
We recommend these specific Gigabyte 8-series motherboards because they have simple post-installation, don't require a pre-patched DSDT, and have native sleep/wake functionality. They also have supported audio and network controllers.

But maybe someone here has a recommendation or another fix for my problem ?

Hi everybody !

It's been more than a week now that I've build my first Hackintosh after a month looking for the perfect system for me, and I choose this one
But … I'm very frustrated cause I couldn't reach a single time the installer mode !
driving me mad:banghead:
It always freezes before reaching it
always get this error message :"

I've fallowed the Unibeast 10.9 Installation guide of Tonymacx86 step by step
updated to f6 the Bios of my gigabyte motherboard
Set to Optimized Defaults
Set XMP to Profile 1
Save and exit

Now I'm wondering if it's because of my ram which is not on Gigabyte's list...

any clue guys?

Edit:

Ok, just didn't try all the boot flags
-x -v PCIRootUID=0 npci=0x3000 finally worked for me !
(It's my fault, sorry i was desperate:crazy:)
Anyway thanks to tonymacx86 & the community ! :headbang:

my system:
i7-4770K
GIGABYTE GA-Z87MX-D3H
Corsair 8GB DDR3-1866MHz Vengeance Pro (CMY8GX3M2A1866C9 9-10-9-27)
SanDisk SDSSDXP-120G-G25 Extreme II
Seagate Barracuda 2 TB
Corsair CX600M
Bitfenix Phenom M
IIyama Prolite E2483HS

Using this build, everything has been working great except when moving from DVI to D-SUB.

Using D-SUB, it won't boot past the Apple Logo (with the spinning sun thinggy, hangs with that).

Any ideas? Haven't tested HDMI nor Displayport.

Am I correct in understanding d-sub is not supported in osx? I saw references to that while searching, but still not 100% clear if that is indeed the case.

Affirmative...VGA is not natively supported in OS X.

Hmm. That's interesting. I hoped it would be just a hackintosh problem so a new kext in some maybe not so distant future would fix this.

I also need to report that even though the sound disappeared once since I activated the default adobe flash plugin in chrome, it hasn't disappeared a second time, yet.

I've same problem with sound : so i reinstall apple hda from multi beast 6.1.0 et no problem

You're in the minority. Most of the users in this Forum have monitors that use the current DVI, HDMI & DisplayPort.

I would recommend you re-install the
Driver > RealTtek ALCXXX > Without DSDT > ALC892
again using MultiBeast 6.2.1. That's what I'm running w/o any problems. However, I don't use Chrome, and Flash runs fine for me.

I searched this thread I never saw anyone state if the optical out or s/pdif out were working. I cant get the motherboard s/pdif to work (works in windows) and the optical TOS out works until waking from sleep, then it no longer functions. I've tried the latest multibeast as of 4/16/14:
Driver > RealTtek ALCXXX > Without DSDT > ALC892
