Thunderbolt hackintosh pro golden build available ?

Hi there !

I stopped building hackintosh few years ago while switching for an iMac for its thunderbolt ports.

I was wondering if there was any solid, flawless golden build for custo mac pro available in there?

I searched for some of these in the golden build section but did not find recent builds with fully functionnal thunderbolts ports.

Just in case it would be important, I'm planning to use thunderbolt for connecting audio interface.

I'll just add that I'm aware of the hotswap thunderbolt issue. It's not a problem for me as my thunderbolt device will stay plugged on my hackintosh

I found some useful information about thunderbolt potential builds but did not find any solid build fitting my needs (recent and powerful hardware).

As I'll throw a relatively big chunk of money in this for replacing an already working environnement, I would be sure not to have any surprise while building this hackintosh.

I use the Z87X-UD7-TH on a regular basis as my main rig. The Thunderbolt 2 ports work, but no hot swap as you noted. Check out this post:

There's also the Z97X-UD7-TH version that works just as well, or there's any 9 series board with a Thunderbolt header- see here for notes:

I'll give a detailed look at those thread, but it seems like thunderbolt is finally working pretty well with hackintosh.

I'm not really used to hackintosh, but beside hotswap, is there any known limitation to the thunderbolt with hackintosh ? I would mainly use the thunderbolt for my universal audio soundcard. As it's its only connection, if I loose the thunderbolt, I would be pretty seriously f***ed up.

Based on the two builds in those thread, changing the graphic card and CPU to some bigger ones (compatible) should not be as issue ?
