Third monitor stays on the boot log / console screen

I'm running Sierra 10.12.1, iMac, I have two monitors running great off of my GTX 780 and the third is using the onboard intel hd4000, but the third just never boots into the GUI, it just stays at the boot-up (verbose) log screen. The GTX 780 has more outputs that I could use if I purchase an hdmi to DVI or VGA converter, but I figured if I could use the third monitor with the onboard intel output, it would save me (not much, I know) a few dollars. Is it even possible?
