ThinkPad (input) compatibility?

Hi,

I have a Lenovo ThinkPad E550.

First of all, I'll describe its specs...

CPU: i5-5200U (Broadwell, up to 2.7GHz)
VGA: Intel HD5500 (integrated)
Networking: Intel 3160 ac + BT4
RAM: 4GB
Input: ThinkPad UltraNav:
-Trackpad (so-called "clickpad")
-Trackpoint + trackpoint buttons

From my little research I understand that the CPU, VGA & Network card are all compatible out-of-the-box (please tell me if I'm wrong), but I don't have any decisive statement about input controls: trackpad & trackpoint ("ultranav"). Do you know if it's compatible with OS X?

I'll also like to know what you think in general about OS X on Thinkpad computers, do you think this laptop will behave alright?

Intel WiFi is not supported... not sure where you got the idea that it is compatible....

Well... then I guess it's a waste of time to install OS X on my laptop. Thank you anyway!

Not sure why you have that conclusion... but your choice.
