Terms?

Hi guys,

I've been reading through the threads, and I haven't been able to figure out what software the names people have been using refer to. In this case google has been really unhelpful. If someone could also provide links, that'd be great.

prime - when I google this I get a bunch of hair products.
cpuz / cpu z - mostly, is there/where is an up to date version?
cpuhardware monitor - google brings up a bunch of random load monitoring apps. what is the best to monitor cpu temperature?

Also, someone mentioned something about choosing an option in multibeast, I believe it was called Speedstep, which enabled TurboBoost. I couldn't find this option. Where is it? If the option doesn't exist, how would I check if turbo boost is on and, if it's off, how would I turn it on.

System info is on my profile. My RAM is 16GB 1333MHz.

Try googling again... this time add OSX

so "prime osx" instead of just searching for "prime"

Its prime 95 and that will be just about the only thing to test oc on mac. It will run the cores at max. for more accurate oc you will need to install windows and get cupid hw monitor for temps, cpuz for core voltage, and prime 95 or some other stress program to stress it.
