System definition question

I just built a system using the following hardware. I am currently using the mac pro 3.1 definition. Would it be better to use a different definition. If so which one? Also is there anything that i have to do to make the usb 3.0 work or does it work OOB

8GB Corsair ram

With no gfx card, you would probably do better with the Macmini6,1 system definition.
USB3.0 ports driven from the Z77 chip should work oob.
